Dental Check-ups should be performed at least once every 6 months to assess your oral hygiene and early treatments (if required) can prevent the need for much invasive procedures Plaque and Calculus accumulation around the teeth and gums, leads to problems like gingivitis, tooth decay, halitosis (bad breath), bone loss and eventually tooth loss. Regular cleaning will help to remove the harmful bacteria from the mouth and will ensure a healthy oral cavity.
Restorative Dentistry Restorative or Operative Dentistry
Includes various procedures involving diagnosis, prevention and treatment of oral diseases. Decayed, cracked, discoloured, developmental or trauma related defects of the teeth qualify for Restorative Care. The Restorative Care is done using different dental materials based on the need. Root Canal Treatment is the removal of the tooth’s pulp - a small, thread-like tissue in the centre of the tooth. Once the damaged, diseased or dead pulp is removed, the remaining space is cleaned, shaped and filled. This procedure seals off the root canal. Years ago, teeth with diseased or injured pulps were removed. Today, root canal treatment saves many teeth that would otherwise be lost.
Orthodontic Treatment
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that corrects teeth that are positioned improperly. Crooked teeth and teeth that do not fit together correctly are harder to keep clean, are at risk of being lost early due to tooth decay and periodontal disease, and cause extra stress on the chewing muscles. Based on diagnostic tools that include a full medical and dental health history, a clinical exam, plaster models of your teeth, and special X-rays and photographs, an orthodontist or dentist can decide whether orthodontics are recommended, and develop a treatment plan that’s right for you.
Prosthodontics
Prosthodontics is the dental speciality pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function. Dental Crown and Bridges are fixed prosthesis designed to improve strength, contour, function, and aesthetics. Crowns can be fabricated from a range of materials including high gold alloys, titanium, resin, ceramic or their combinations.
Paediatric Treatments
Children’s dental exams should be scheduled at least every six months. Cavities are the most common oral disease in children, affecting them from infancy to adolescence. They can develop on the smooth sides of teeth, in tooth grooves, or on the surfaces of tooth roots and may require restorations. Regular check-ups will help protect your child’s smile amazing.
Periodontics
Periodontics is a dental specialty that involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the supporting and surrounding tissues of the teeth or their substitutes and the maintenance of the health, function and aesthetics of these structures and tissues. Most periodontal treatments rely on working with the patient to improve their oral hygiene then reassessing the problem areas and providing some interceptive surgery. Sometimes, deep scaling and cleaning is required, with or without surgery, to reduce the destructive periodontal infections.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are considered the modern gold standard for tooth replacement. Implantology is targeted for not only aesthetic appeal but also functionality. Implants are a long-lasting replacement option for teeth that are missing or have been damaged beyond repair and are in need of extraction. When properly cared for, dental implants can last a lifetime, making them one of the best investments for long-term tooth replacement.
Oral surgery
Oral Surgery encompasses a wide range of operations, including but not limited to tooth extraction . Wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, sinus lift, biopsies, dental implants, and reconstructive surgeries are all examples of oral surgeries.
